Hot Tip: As For Dominus. . . From: Ian Schreiber Playing with Dominus
Getting him into play is MUCH easier if you use Cyber HQ and
lots of Cyber bases. That way you can pull the Failsafe progs as
you're ready for them, and if you have extra Cyber to burn you can
put extras in play.
Don't forget that the Failsafe programs are awesome on their
own merits! 1 extra Cyber per turn helps this deck a bit, even better
if there's 4 of them in play. Tapping to do 1 damage to a target
asset ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD is mediocre, but again with
4 of them it's pretty harsh. You only need 1 of the prog that gives
you a Mech asset, but it's good to get that one early on anyway...
then pull your Bions and AP Mines as defense!
If you put a copy of Stormcatcher AI in your deck, you don't
need to include C10 assets for running Failsafe AI.
Remember that Dominus requires Mil to attack with! If he's going
to be your main offense, put a Military Requisition Hack or two in
the deck so you can attack every turn indefinitely.
Black Ops Virus goes somewhat well in this deck... hoses the
opponent's Covert, you don't use Covert so you don't care if it
hurts yours, and it's Ice so it acts as a shield against enemy Turing
Hunter-Killers.
Include some way to help Dominus out if he gets Shackled,
Restrained, etc.
Since you'll be running SO many programs, Routing Optimization 2.2
might be a good buy (and yes, multiples are cumulative; with
4 in play you would GAIN 4 cyber from running Failsafe AI!).
Including a small number of defensive progs to help out your
Bions at home (Wiretap, Comm Jammer, Luddite Revenge, etc)
is a good option, especially since you can pull them at will with
Cyber HQ.
Programs which let you draw extra cards (Miroku, Ghanzomer,
etc) would help speed this deck up, provided you make sure it
has plenty of Cyber to keep it going.
How to fight against this deck?
Like Cult, it is slow to start, so a speed attack would be highly
effective against it.
Don't rely on Turing Hunter-Killer; this deck has a LOT of constructs
and THK goes away when it kills a single construct, so the odds
are you'll hit something meaningless.
Preemptive Ice programs like Man-Trap could slow this deck
down even more; drawing one C8 programmer is hard enough as
it is, without it coming into play tapped :)
Any way of immobilizing Dominus will seriously hurt this deck;
there can be only one of him in play or in the opponent's hand at
any given time, so if you can trap it with Shackles, Restraining Order,
Software Lobotomy, Psychotropic Juice, etc then you would buy
yourself a LOT more time.
