Step One: Birth Cry
- Select a friendly asset (ANY) and it will get Software Lobotomy
- Doing this adds one Token to Birth Cry.
- For each Token on Birth Cry cards in play, your friendlies at your HQ
receive +1 Firepower.
Step Two: Sentience
- A single Birth Cry must have four tokens to deploy.
- Select a friendly asset (ANY) and it will be removed from the game.
- Doing this adds one Token to Sentience.
- For each Token on Sentience cards in play, your enemy receives -1 Firepower
for each asset.
- At some point you'll want to stop using Sentience, but keep using Birth
Cry. Once you get past a -10 to their Firepower, what's the point?
Step Three: Ascension
Ready to win the game?
- A single Sentience must have six tokens to deploy.
- Tap ascension to select an enemy non-mech
- Now he's yours. Just like Hypnotic Worm, only with no cost to keep.
- Asset is equipped with an "Ascension" card...can it be removed? I don't
know yet. . .

A few suggestions:
- Use multiples! You want to have multis in your deck on all of these
to make sure you get them deployed. But you can actually use them to speed
things up. Multiple Birth Cry will let you gain multiple tokens in the same
turn. One of these must gain 4 tokens before you deploy Sentience,
but you can gain more tokens on other cards to increase your bonus.
- Use created assets to have many to sacrifice. For instance, use UN Recruiting
Center, Womb Array, or Hasaku Factory to deploy an asset which you can Birth Cry
*AND* Sentience in the same turn!
- Remember! A Software Lobotomied Asset can still use Special abilities.
You may wish to use Arell Cartel Contact, B&E Perp and Tobi Wong as "Birth Bait",
or you may wish to use "search" assets (Crow's Nest) or "special offensive" like
a ComForce Trooper to give the opponent a surpise!
- You are going to steal all the enemies flesh units with Ascension. Use an
EMP Strike to REALLY put him in harm's way. You OWN all his flesh, and all his
Mechs are tapped!
- Use a Distributed HQ. Every city where you have HQ has the firepower bonus for
you and the penalty for the opponent. Why not make that THREE cities?
- Consider using Lancasters in your Transcendent deck. They gain awesome Bonuses
which are considerably enhanced with the Transcendent Trio!
